claudiatammen > Old Towne Orange: The perfect hour - when it's still light outside and the neon comes on

claudiatammen > May 7: Old Towne Orange
My B&W class had a shoot here. Orange has an historic district full of old buildings, interesting architecture, a traffic circle with a fountain in the center, soda fountain with long counter, and churches & bars in equal numbers. This historic building now houses a auto parts shop. Though the center of town was crowded with people walking everywhere, as you walk a few blocks out, it can look a bit desolate and deserted as does this scene. There are more shots in the gallery on my site.
claudiatammen > May 6: basket of onions
I planted these onions last spring and just picked them now....I used the same "rain" simulation in this image as I did yesterday with the citrus. By the way, the onions taste great, too.
claudiatammen > May 5: Bowl of citrus
I tried something suggested by Bryan Petersen in his book "Exposure". To simulate "rain" with a sprinkler. I like the results (I also included the next image).
claudiatammen > May 3: Windy Ride
Another image of my niece, Brianna, while we were riding on the ferris wheel. I took quite a few shots of her but like the feeling of motion, light, expression, and soft color of this one.
claudiatammen > May 2: Picture yourself here
I have been playing with my new tripod all day, but didn't get anything I liked - need more practice I guess. So, this is from several weeks ago when I went on a wildflower hike at Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.

claudiatammen > Apr. 30: Flowing Eucalyptus Branches
This tree is just across the street and the setting sun light hits it just right in late afternoon. I've always been enchanted by the grace of eucalyptus trees. They look almost human.
claudiatammen > Apr. 27: Just another rose
May 5: Bowl of citrus
I tried something suggested by Bryan Petersen in his book "Exposure". To simulate "rain" with a sprinkler. I like the results (I also included the next image).
